These herby, cheesy crescent rolls are the perfect easy holiday appetizer that everyone will love!
If you’re looking for a crowd-pleaser, you found the right place! Kids will devour these, and adults will love them, too. They’re savory and buttery, with just the right amount of herby deliciousness from the thyme. And can you think of a single person who doesn’t love crescent rolls?
That’s what I thought.
With the holidays right around the corner, these are a great go-to appetizer or snack to have on hand. They’re casual, but still a treat – perfect for a holiday get-together with friends and family. They’re also a wonderful way to use up leftover ham! With just the three of us, we never finish a ham. And as one of my husband’s favorite foods, you can usually find some leftover in our fridge. So I figured I’d turn it into something special, and voila! Delicious ham and cheese crescent rolls. Happy holidays, everyone!
Ham & Cheese Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 package crescent rolls
- 1 cup ham finely diced
- 1/2 teaspoon butter
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 2/3 cup swiss finely grated
- 1/3 cup gruyere finely grated
- 1 tablespoon thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ham, garlic, onion powder, mustard, and lemon juice. Stir and cook until the edges of the ham are just beginning to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Unroll the crescent rolls and separate. On each one, evenly distribute the cheeses, ham, and thyme – in that order.
- Beginning with the thick side of the crescent triangle, carefully roll up the dough and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
